Rėkyva Lake is the largest lake in the Šiauliai region of northern Lithuania. The Šmelynas spot is one of the most popular access points for kitesurfing on this lake.

The lake offers perfect flat water conditions for learning and freestyle. The water is shallow with a sandy bottom in places. The lake surface is large enough for comfortable riding.

Rėkyva Lake is easily accessible from Šiauliai. Several kitesurfing schools operate on the lake. The season runs from May to October. The spot suits beginners.
