Audresselles is a charming fishing village on the Côte d'Opale, between Cap Gris-Nez and Ambleteuse. Its sandy and pebble beach, exposed to SW to NW, catches Atlantic swell well and offers great wave sessions in the dominant SW to W wind. It's a wilder and less crowded spot than Wissant, popular with locals and wave riders.
Works from S to NW (avoid NE and E, offshore here). The beach largely disappears at high tide — prefer low to mid tide. Wimkite School (Wissant/Wimereux) occasionally runs sessions here depending on wind direction.
Wimkite School — kitesurf school for Nord-Pas-de-Calais, bases at Wissant and Wimereux, also operates at Audresselles depending on conditions. Since 2005, BPJEPS instructors. wimkite.com

Beach greatly reduced at high tide — check tidal schedule before going. Rocks at both ends of the beach — stay in the central zone. Tidal current can be strong. Wild area with no lifeguards or rescue infrastructure nearby.
SW and W: quality waves, side-onshore — best directions. S: side-off, trickier but beautiful waves. NW: possible with waves. NE to SE: offshore on this stretch — forbidden. Wind often amplified by the cape effect (Gris-Nez to the south). Low to mid tide recommended.
