Sønderstrand is a large sandy beach on the east coast of Jutland, facing the Lillebælt (Little Belt). Vast sandbank area creating shallow waters ideal for beginners. Small waves form in easterly winds. In summer, marked swimming zone in the north (red buoys) — kitesurfing prohibited in that area.
Shallow water with sandbanks. Flat to small chop in moderate winds. Small waves in sustained easterly winds. Sandy bottom. No tidal influence. Clean water.
