Second spot in the Plougasnou area, 1km away from the town center, the beach of Saint-Jean-du-Doigt opens onto the Sainte-Barbe bay and is oriented toward the NNW. The bay opens widely to the east on a rocky coastline. On the other side, the coastline goes up in the NNW direction to the Roc'h Louët point and then to Primel beach. It is entirely possible to connect the two beaches even if the latter is not immediately visible.
The Saint-Jean-du-Doigt beach, approximately 600 meters long, is a pebble beach at high tide. At low tide, the foreshore reveals a wide expanse of wet sand. Beautiful rather wild setting (not very urbanized area) with the Chaises de Primel rocks offshore.
Quite renowned windsurfing spot when depressions (swell from N to NE) enter the large bay of Lannion (English Channel).
