Manatee Park is located along the Caloosahatchee River, east of Fort Myers. The park is best known as a manatee viewing site in winter, as the animals are attracted by warm water discharged from the nearby FPL power plant. The river offers flat water conditions for kitesurfing, but riding is limited by protected wildlife.
