Vrahati is a spot on the south shore of the Gulf of Corinth, west of Corinth between Lechaio and Xylokastro. Facing north, this spot offers a long sand and pebble beach with good exposure to winds channeled through the gulf. The Vardaris (E/NE) is the main summer wind, reinforced by channeling in the east-west gulf corridor. A popular seaside resort, Vrahati offers a good balance between sailing conditions and facilities.
Launch from the long north-facing sand and pebble beach. In Vardaris (E/NE), the wind is side-shore — excellent conditions for riding along the coast. In northerly wind, onshore conditions with moderate chop. The long beach offers multiple launch points and good riding space along the shore. Watch for swimmers in summer on this tourist beach.
Short to moderate chop, typical of the Gulf of Corinth. The limited fetch (12-15 km north-south) keeps conditions relatively flat. In sustained Vardaris, more pronounced chop in the east-west axis. Good conditions for foiling and wingfoiling thanks to the flat water. No ocean swell.

Easy access from the Corinth-Patras national road. Vrahati is a seaside resort with several beach access points. Parking along the coastal road or in village streets. Parking easier outside the summer season.
Numerous swimmers in summer — maintain a safe distance. Some scattered rocks along the coast. Maritime traffic in the gulf. In very strong Vardaris, the channeled chop can become uncomfortable. No specific supervision for water sports.
The Vardaris (E/ENE) is the dominant wind, channeled through the Gulf of Corinth corridor. At Vrahati, in the east-central part of the gulf, the wind is well established and consistent. North/northwesterly winds cross the gulf (12-15 km fetch) to arrive onshore. The Ponentes (W/WNW) arrives from the west, sometimes weakened in this central section. Reliable afternoon thermals in summer. The relatively straight coastline doesn't create local channeling effects, offering steady wind without sudden accelerations.
