Launch from the long east-facing sandy beach. In Meltemi (NE), side-onshore conditions — riding along the coast with an onshore component. In east wind, onshore conditions with more formed waves. The long beach offers plenty of space for rigging and riding. The spot works best in moderate wind — in strong wind, sea conditions become committed.

Wind specificities

The Meltemi (N/NE) is the dominant summer wind, arriving side-onshore to onshore on this east-facing coast. The Ossa mountains behind create flow compression that reinforces the coastal wind. East/ESE winds cross the Aegean and arrive directly onshore. Reliable afternoon thermals in summer. Wind conditions similar to neighbouring Agiokambos, with slightly more open exposure to the north.
