La Vieille Nouvelle — between Gruissan and Port-la-Nouvelle. One of the best freestyle and speed spots of the region. 10 km immense beach from Gruissan to Port-la-Nouvelle — les Chalets beach non-stop.
By Tramontane NW: offshore — flat water, excellent for freestyle and speed. The Tramontane is LESS gusty here than at Leucate — one of the spots where it blows the most regularly. Many high-level riders train here — great show!
By Marin SE/S: onshore waves, freeride. Wild, beautiful landscape. Sand dunes, salt marshes, completely unspoiled. Demanding spot reserved for experienced riders who respect conditions.
Kite & Foil — Nearby school, offers supervised navigation on the spot. Recommended as there is no safety/surveillance on the beach. Courses available.

Year-round. No surveillance. Emergency beacon in summer only. Kite & Foil school nearby for supervised navigation. Navigation forbidden in Étang de l'Ayrolle. Respect environmental regulations (protected dunes, salt marshes).

Mediterranean Sea. By Tramontane: offshore FLAT — glass water, speed runs along the beach. Less gusty than Leucate. By Marin: onshore waves. Sandy bottom. Deep offshore. Speed, slalom, freeride, freestyle. 10 km uninterrupted beach.
Access via sand track from Port-la-Nouvelle direction north. Limited parking — 300 m from spot. Sandy track can be difficult — risk of getting stuck. Parking at north Port-la-Nouvelle. Restaurants in Port-la-Nouvelle or Gruissan (no facilities on beach).
Tramontane (NW): dominant. OFFSHORE — flat water. Less gusty than Leucate — one of the most regular Tramontane spots. High-level riders, spectacular freestyle and speed. Marin (SE/S): onshore waves, freeride. Landkite/char à voile also practiced on the immense beach.
Tramontane OFFSHORE: pushes to sea — experienced riders only. No safety/rescue on this beach. Emergency beacon in summer only. No security boat — if you can't ride upwind, don't go out. Regulated: navigation forbidden in Étang de l'Ayrolle. Access via sand track — can get stuck. Demanding spot, experienced riders only.
