Vecāķi is a residential district in northern Riga, whose beach is one of the most popular kitesurfing spots in the Latvian capital. The sandy beach faces the Gulf of Riga.

The coast faces north-west. North-west to north winds are most favourable, blowing onshore. The bottom is sandy and gradual. The spot is well suited for riders of all levels thanks to the shallow waters of the gulf.

Vecāķi is easily accessible from Riga by train or car. The beach has parking. The season runs from May to October.
