Balatonszemes is a kitesurfing spot on the southern shore of Lake Balaton in Hungary. The lake is very shallow on the south side (often less than 1.5 meters for several hundred meters), offering perfect conditions for beginners. Prevailing winds come from the northwest, blowing cross-shore. Suitable for beginners and intermediates.
