Lake Waubesa is a kitesurf spot south of Madison, part of the Yahara chain of lakes. Moderate-sized lake offering flat water conditions for kitesurfing and wingfoiling. Less crowded than neighboring lakes Mendota and Monona. Good spot for Madison area riders. Season from May to October.

Shallows and aquatic weeds in some areas. Boat traffic in summer. Sudden thunderstorms frequent. Shallow areas can trap riders. Check weather before each session.
