Kitesurf spot in Lachine, on the north shore of Lac Saint-Louis, at the eastern end of the lake. Lachine is a historic hub for water sports in Montreal, with the famous Lachine Canal nearby. The spot offers open water with good south and southwest exposure. René-Lévesque Park and the Lachine promenade provide a pleasant urban setting. It's one of Montreal's most popular and accessible spots.

Eastern end of Lac Saint-Louis, freshwater. Good fetch toward the southwest. Moderate to strong chop in sustained southwest wind. Rocky and sandy bottom — watch for shallows. Water reaching 20-24°C in summer. Notable St. Lawrence River current — the spot is near the Lachine Rapids. Very busy area.
Near the Lachine Rapids — very strong current downstream, never drift eastward. Very busy navigation zone. Submerged rocks and shallows. Violent summer thunderstorms. Commercial shipping on the river channel. Current can make returning to shore difficult.
