Pauanui Estuary is a kitesurfing spot located on the Coromandel Peninsula, in the Waikato region, on the North Island of New Zealand. This estuary offers flat and shallow water conditions, protected from ocean swell. It is a good learning spot in the Coromandel region. Prevailing winds come from the north-east and east. The spot is suitable for beginner to intermediate kitesurfers thanks to the calm estuary waters. Watch out for tides which significantly change the depth and rideable surface area. The spot is complementary to nearby Pauanui Beach.
