Marion Bay South Australia

Marion Bay South Australia

Overview

Marion Bay is a kitesurfing spot located at the southern tip of the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, in the Innes National Park. It is a renowned spot for its quality wave conditions and preserved natural setting in one of the state's finest national parks. The prevailing wind comes from the south-west in summer, blowing cross-shore to cross-onshore. Marion Bay offers some protection from the direct Southern Ocean swell, but waves remain present and of good quality. The bottom is sandy. The best season is from November to March. The spot is suitable for intermediate to advanced riders. Marion Bay is a small village with holiday accommodation and a campsite. Entry to the Innes National Park is paid. It is a spot that combines kitesurfing and nature discovery.
