Green Lake is a lake in Whistler, in the Sea-to-Sky corridor north of Vancouver. The lake is surrounded by mountains and benefits from southerly thermal wind channelled through the valley. Characteristic emerald green water (hence the name). Alpine spot easily accessible from Whistler Village. Riding possible from May to October.
Emerald green fresh water. Flat to slightly choppy. Limited fetch (lake is about 1.5 km long). Sand and mud bottom. Cold water (mountain lake, 12-18°C in summer). Mild conditions suitable for learning.

Wind can be gusty and irregular due to mountain terrain. Cold water (wetsuit needed). Small lake — limited riding space. Canoe and paddleboard traffic. Wind can drop suddenly.
