Branched Oak is a kitesurf spot on Branched Oak Lake, a popular reservoir near Lincoln, Nebraska's capital. This 7 km² lake offers good fetch and consistent prairie winds. Several beaches and boat ramps available. Most accessible spot in the Lincoln area. Salt Valley Recreation Area offers camping and amenities. Season from May to October.

Violent thunderstorms in summer with lightning and possible tornadoes — exit water immediately. Motorboat traffic in summer, especially weekends. Submerged debris (stumps, branches). Blue-green algae possible in summer — check health advisories. Park entrance fee required.
