Føns Vig is a bay on the west coast of Funen, facing the Lillebælt (Little Belt). The spot offers many possibilities with stable wind in several directions, mainly SW and NW. The 1,200 m beach is Blue Flag certified. Two launch areas: the Føns kiosk and Føns Vig harbour.

Sandy bottom with some stone and seaweed areas. Water becomes deep quickly beyond the shore zone. In 10+ m/s winds, waves can reach 2.5 m (shore break). Little current at the beach (sheltered position in the bay). Significant seaweed accumulation in late summer and autumn.
Water gets deep quickly — less margin for error if you lose your board. Shore break in strong winds. Abundant seaweed in late summer/autumn that can tangle lines and fins. Blue Flag swimming zone — ride outside when the blue flag is raised.
