Skadovsk is a seaside resort on the northern coast of the Black Sea in the Kherson Oblast. The Karzhiny spot is located in Dzharylhach Bay, a shallow water area protected by Dzharylhach Island.

The water is very shallow (often less than one meter) and flat, making it an excellent spot for beginners. The bottom is sandy. The water is warm in summer (up to 26°C). The prevailing wind comes from the west and southwest.

Skadovsk is a popular family destination with good tourist infrastructure. Several kite schools are present on site.
