Île Molène Le Sillon is an expert-level kitesurf spot on Molène island in the Iroise Sea, northwest of Le Conquet. The island sits in the Iroise Marine Natural Park — one of the most exposed and current-ridden maritime environments in Europe. Extreme tidal currents, full Atlantic exposure, remote location with no rescue infrastructure. Expert riders only with perfect seamanship and tidal knowledge. Access by ferry from Le Conquet only.
Ferry from Le Conquet to Île Molène (Compagnie Penn Ar Bed). Seasonal ferry schedule — plan carefully. The Sillon is a natural sandbar on the island. Sessions viable only at specific tidal windows — the Iroise currents are among the strongest in Europe (up to 8 knots). Never ride alone. Bring all safety equipment. The island has very limited services. This spot is for experts who know the Iroise intimately.
