Talsperre Wechmar is a reservoir located in central Thuringia, at about 300 metres altitude. This body of water offers sailing conditions suited for kitesurfing and wingfoil, with thermal winds from the west and south-west sectors that develop regularly in summer. The dam offers a pleasant natural setting in the heart of the Thuringian countryside. The water surface, although modest, allows kitesurfing in a calm and preserved environment.
