Overview

Julianadorp is a North Sea kitespot north of Callantsoog, with a wide sandy beach and Roompot Beach holiday houses nearby. Wind from S to NE is ideal; best season August to April though it can be windy year-round. Water conditions range from choppy to small waves between the groynes.

Submerged groynes visible at low tide — watch out at high tide. Several family-friendly facilities within walking distance. More info: NKV Spotkaart

Access via Callantsoog beach approach, then walk north along the beach to Paal 6. No permanent beach facilities — self-sufficient. GPS: Paal 6, Callantsoog coast, Noord-Holland. Access from N9 via Callantsoog.

North Sea — medium to large waves in strong W/NW. Strong currents. Remote. Large tidal range. Cold year-round. Advanced minimum.

Hazards

Submerged groynes every ~200m — dangerous at high tide. Check local signs before rigging. Swimmers and beach visitors have priority in summer.

Wind specificities

SW/W/NW/N/NE onshore. Very clean, non-gusty wind — no obstacles for miles. Strong and consistent. Best Oct–Mar. Year-round possible. One of the best spots for big air on the Noord-Holland coast.
