Tuttle Creek Lake is a 5,200-hectare reservoir near Manhattan, Kansas. One of the largest lakes in eastern Kansas with excellent wind exposure. Close to Kansas State University, the lake offers remarkable fetch and sustained prairie winds.

Large freshwater reservoir. Good fetch from the south. Sandy beaches in some areas. Can develop significant chop in strong winds. Water level varies with dam releases.
Tornado Alley — supercell thunderstorms and tornadoes. Blue-green algae blooms. Strong currents near the dam. Dam releases can change water levels rapidly. Boat traffic. Lightning.
