Lake Kierskie (Jezioro Kierskie) is a lake located west of Poznań, in Greater Poland. It is the most accessible kitesurfing spot for riders from Poznań, only 15 km from the city center. The body of water covers about 3 km² with a maximum depth of 35m. The lake is elongated, which favors certain wind directions. The bottom is sandy near the shores. West and southwest winds are the most favorable. Lake Kierskie is a popular urban spot, very busy on weekends. Several water sports centers are located around the lake.
