The Cut is a kitesurfing spot located near Bunbury/Mandurah, in Western Australia. This spot takes its name from the artificial channel (the cut) that connects the Leschenault Estuary to the ocean. The spot offers varied conditions between the flat estuary and the ocean coast. The prevailing south to southwest winds blow regularly in summer. The estuary side is flat and suitable for beginners, while the ocean coast offers waves for more experienced riders. The channel creates significant currents. Parking is available nearby. Beware of very strong currents in the channel (the cut) and boats passing through. Do not ride in the channel itself.
