Czorsztyn is a dam lake located in the Pieniny Mountains, in southern Poland, at the foot of the Tatra Mountains. It is a unique mountain kitesurfing spot, offering a spectacular setting with the medieval Czorsztyn Castle as a backdrop. The lake is surrounded by mountains, creating particular wind conditions: winds are channeled through the valleys and can be turbulent and irregular. It is a spot for experienced riders who know how to handle gusts and wind variations. The body of water is medium-sized, with significant depth. The water is cold, even in summer. The season is short (June-September). It is an unusual spot that attracts riders from Krakow and southern Poland.
