Ambleside is a beach on the North Shore in West Vancouver, facing south toward downtown Vancouver across Burrard Inlet. The spot is at the entrance of Burrard Inlet, near the Lions Gate Bridge. It's a convenient urban spot for North Shore riders, exposed to W and NW winds entering the inlet.
Burrard Inlet water — mix of fresh and saltwater. Sandy and gravel bottom. Moderate chop. Cold water — 4/3 wetsuit in summer. Limited fetch in the inlet.
