Zellersee (Zeller See) is an alpine lake at 750 m altitude in the Zell am See area, in the heart of the Austrian Alps in Salzburger Land. The lake is about 4 km long and 1.5 km wide. It benefits from thermal winds in summer, notably a southerly afternoon wind. The setting is spectacular with the Hohe Tauern mountains and Kitzsteinhorn as a backdrop. The water is relatively warm in summer for an alpine lake.
