Hwasung-ho is a spot located on the west coast of South Korea in Gyeonggi province, south of Seoul near Hwaseong. This area faces the Yellow Sea and benefits from NW and W winds, especially during autumn and winter. The coastal area features significant tidal variation typical of Korea's west coast.
The spot can offer flat water conditions in sheltered areas, making it interesting for freestyle and freeride. Timing sessions with the tide is essential as mudflats are exposed at low tide. The proximity to Seoul makes it accessible for the capital's kite community.
