Phan Rang is an emerging kitesurfing destination in Ninh Thuan Province on Vietnam's south-central coast. Located about 100 km north of Mui Ne, the area is gaining recognition as one of Vietnam's windiest kite zones. The coast faces east and receives powerful NE monsoon winds from November to April, often stronger and more consistent than Mui Ne.
The Ninh Thuan coast around Phan Rang benefits from a unique microclimate - it is the driest province in Vietnam, meaning more sunny kite days during the season. The beaches are wide and sandy with warm water year-round. Multiple spots are accessible within a short drive, from open ocean beaches to more sheltered bays.
Infrastructure is growing with several kite schools and guesthouses now operating. The area offers excellent value compared to the more established Mui Ne. Intermediate to advanced riders will find consistent strong winds and uncrowded conditions. The local fishing culture adds authentic Vietnamese character to the experience.
