Fuwairit Lagoon is a kitesurfing spot located in the north of Qatar, in the municipality of Madinat ash Shamal. This lagoon offers a shallow and protected water area, considered one of the best spots in Qatar for beginners. The northwest Shamal blows regularly in winter. The lagoon offers a flat and shallow water area, ideal for learning and progression. The bottom is sandy. This is a turtle nesting area that must be respected.
