Safi is a coastal city between Essaouira and El Jadida, known to local kitesurfers from the Casablanca-Safi corridor. Consistent NE trade winds provide favorable conditions for kitesurfing, with a mix of flat water and small to medium waves.
The wind is strongest spring and summer. Safi has a train station (connected to Morocco's rail network), and is 2.5–3h drive from Marrakech. The city offers historical interest with its Portuguese Medina.
Less of a tourist kite destination, more of a local spot with potential. Accommodation and restaurants available in town.
