Kitesurf spot at Penouille, in Forillon National Park, at the tip of the Gaspé Peninsula. Penouille is a magnificent sand spit extending into the Baie de Gaspé, creating a shallow lagoon on one side and open bay access on the other. It's one of Gaspésie's most beautiful spots with turquoise waters and fine sand. The national park offers an exceptional preserved natural setting with views of Forillon's cliffs.

Sand spit in the Baie de Gaspé (Forillon Park). Cold salt water (10-15°C in summer). Dual water: shallow lagoon (flat, ideal for beginners) and open bay (chop, waves). Moderate tides (1-2m) changing the lagoon area. Sandy bottom throughout. SE to E wind enters the bay well.
National park — Parks Canada entry fees required. Respect protected zones and wildlife (seals, seabirds). Cold water — thick wetsuit required. The lagoon partially dries at low tide. Currents at the spit tip. Remote from services.
