Kite Point is the main kitesurf spot on Smithville Lake, named by the local kite community. Located on the southwest shore of the lake, this point offers the best exposure to prevailing south winds with maximum fetch. Spacious grassy launch area. Gathering point for the Kansas City kite community — great vibe and mutual support. Season from May to October.
