Overview

South Banks Ultraflats is the ultimate flat water spot on South Padre Island, located at the extreme south of the Laguna Madre, near Brazos Santiago Pass. The name says it all: flats of absolute flatness with water sometimes ankle-deep at most. It is one of the most renowned spots in the world for freestyle and learning kitesurfing. The proximity to the pass can bring slightly more wind than spots further north. Many kite schools operate in this area.
