Boat traffic in summer with recreational boats and sailboats in the bay. Cold water with hypothermia risk in spring and fall. The peninsula tip can create currents and variable wind effects. Violent thunderstorms possible in summer with lightning risk — exit water immediately. Frequent swimmers and kayakers along the shore in summer.
