Philipp's Launch is a kitesurfing spot on the east shore of Lake Washington, in the Seattle area, Washington. This spot offers lake access from a launch point used by the local kiting community. Lake Washington is a large freshwater body offering ideal flatwater conditions. Southerly thermal winds are regular in summer, providing reliable sessions. The spot is popular with Eastside riders (Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond).

Fresh water from Lake Washington, temperate in summer (16-22°C). Shorty or 3/2 wetsuit in summer, 4/3 in spring and fall. Flat water without waves, excellent for freestyle and foiling. Muddy and sandy bottom. Southerly thermal winds at 10-20 knots in summer. The lake is spacious, offering enough space for riding in all directions.
Dense boat traffic on Lake Washington: recreational boats, sailboats, kayaks, and seaplanes. Kenmore Air seaplane landing paths to absolutely avoid. Winds sometimes gusty and irregular. Water can remain cold in spring and fall. Respect navigation zones and private shoreline properties. Possible submerged stumps in some areas.
