Rush Creek is a kitesurf spot on the southeast shore of Lake Ray Hubbard, east of Dallas. The spot is near the Rush Creek Yacht Club, offering access to the southern part of the lake. This area is often less frequented by motorboats than the northern part, offering more tranquility for kiting. The S/SE wind offers good fetch on this part of the lake.
Fresh water of Lake Ray Hubbard. Muddy to sandy bottom. Flat to choppy water. No tide. Warm water in summer. The southern part of the lake offers a pleasant body of water for freeride. Moderate chop in sustained wind.

Boat traffic, especially on weekends. Yacht club sailboats. Violent thunderstorms possible (Texas). Submerged obstacles at low water levels. Lake level fluctuates by season and rainfall.
