Waconia Beach is a third access point to Lake Waconia from the town of Waconia beach on the south shore. This large lake offers excellent fetch and varied conditions. Public beach with good access and amenities. Lake Waconia is a favorite spot for Twin Cities kitesurfers. Season from May to October.

Freshwater with small chop in sustained winds. Good fetch from south shore in north winds. Moderate depth. Sandy bottom. Pleasant water in summer.
Very heavy boat traffic in summer. Swimmers at the public beach. Sudden thunderstorms frequent. Respect swimming areas.
