Waconia North is a second access point to Lake Waconia on the north shore, west of Minneapolis. This large inland lake offers excellent fetch and varied conditions for kitesurfing and wingfoiling. North shore access with good launch space. Season from May to October.

Freshwater with small chop in sustained winds. Good fetch from north shore in south winds. Moderate depth. Sandy bottom. Pleasant water in summer.
Very heavy boat traffic in summer. Sudden thunderstorms frequent. Swimmers nearby. Check weather.
