Ria Chelem est une lagune peu profonde sur la côte nord du Yucatan, près de Progreso. Les vents de nord (Nortes) et les alizés d'est y créent des conditions flat water idéales pour les débutants et le foil.

La lagune protégée offre un plan d'eau sécurisant avec un fond sablonneux, parfait pour l'apprentissage du kitesurf.
