Parlee Beach is one of the most popular kitesurfing spots in New Brunswick and one of the busiest beaches in eastern Canada. Located in Pointe-du-ChĂŞne near Shediac, this provincial beach offers waters among the warmest north of Virginia thanks to its position in the Northumberland Strait. The body of water is shallow and protected, with a fine sand bottom ideal for walking and upwind recovery. The prevailing southwest and west winds blow regularly in summer, creating perfect flat water conditions for freeriding and learning. Northeast winds are also rideable and bring slightly more chop. Kitesurf NB Academy & Gear, based in the Shediac area, is the reference school for kitesurfing and wingfoil in southern New Brunswick. With certified instructors and state-of-the-art equipment, they offer lessons in the warm and shallow waters of the region. The community vibe is strong, with many local kitesurfers always ready to share tips and good times. The kitesurfing season runs from June to September, with the best conditions in July and August. Parlee Beach is suitable for all levels, from beginners to experts. The provincial park offers showers, changing rooms and a large parking lot. Shediac, the "Lobster Capital of the World," is just minutes away for a memorable meal after your session.
