Humber Bay Park is in west Toronto, at the mouth of the Humber River on Lake Ontario. The park faces south with a large lawn area ideal for kite launching. Panoramic views of downtown Toronto skyline to the east. Good exposure to SW winds, which are the most common in summer.

Lake Ontario fresh water. Flat to choppy. Sand and mud bottom. Good fetch from the south and SW. Warm water in summer (18-22°C). Progressive depth. Good chop develops in sustained SW wind.
Park breakwaters and jetties — obstacles to avoid. Marine traffic. Very busy promenade and bike path. Current possible at the Humber River mouth after rain. Variable water quality.
