Kitesurf spot at Camping Belley, on the south side of the Pointe-Taillon peninsula, Lac Saint-Jean. This campground offers direct access to the lake beaches with an open view southward. The spot benefits from the same water as the neighbouring national park, with fine sand beaches and shallow water. The campground offers the advantage of on-site accommodation with lake access. Conditions similar to other Pointe-Taillon spots.

Lac Saint-Jean, south Pointe-Taillon area. Warm freshwater in summer (20-24°C). Sand beach with progressive depth. Good fetch southward (20+ km). Sandy bottom. Short chop in sustained south wind. Shallow area ideal for progression.
Violent summer thunderstorms — the lake is very exposed. Short waves in strong wind. Don't venture too far from shore on this large lake. Current possible near the Péribonka River mouth.
