Lighthouse Beach is in Meaford, on the south shore of Georgian Bay. The spot faces north with a historic lighthouse and small harbour. Less crowded than Wasaga Beach, it offers similar conditions with more tranquility. NW wind is channelled in the bay. Charming small town with farmers market and restaurants.

Georgian Bay fresh water. Flat to choppy. Sand and pebble bottom. Good fetch from the north. Warm water in summer (18-22°C). Area partially protected by the port jetties.
Port jetties and lighthouse — fixed obstacles. Recreational boat traffic. Pebbles at shore can be slippery. Sudden thunderstorms on the bay. Currents at the port entrance.
