Kitesurf spot at Pointe-Taillon National Park (Sépaq), on the north shore of Lac Saint-Jean. This national park protects a long sandy peninsula extending into the lake, offering kilometres of fine sand beaches. It's one of the best spots on Lac Saint-Jean with multiple exposure (south, east, west) depending on position on the peninsula. The park offers camping facilities and trails. Shallow water and sandy bottom make it an ideal spot for all levels.

Lac Saint-Jean, Pointe-Taillon peninsula. Warm freshwater in summer (20-24°C). Fine sand beaches with very progressive depth. Considerable fetch in multiple directions thanks to the peninsula. Ideal sandy bottom. Moderate chop in sustained wind. The peninsula tip offers the best conditions with clean wind.
Paid access to national park (Sépaq entry fees). Violent thunderstorms possible in summer — the lake is very exposed. Short steep waves in strong wind. The peninsula is long — plan for return time. Current possible at the Péribonka River mouth nearby.
