Water warms up well in summer, allowing riding in shorty or lycra from June to September. Several islands on the lake create sheltered areas and narrower passages.
Heavy boat traffic in summer with motorboats, jet skis, and sailboats — constant vigilance required. Residential area with numerous docks and lakeside structures. Islands and shoals to watch for. Frequent swimmers and kayakers in summer. Violent thunderstorms possible with lightning risk — exit water immediately. Limited space for kitesurf maneuvers.
