The sandy beach offers a comfortable launching area, and the calm Puget Sound waters are perfect for learning. Southwesterly thermal winds blow regularly in summer, providing gentle and predictable conditions.
Cold to cool Puget Sound water (9-15°C), 4/3 wetsuit recommended year-round. Shallow waters at low tide, allowing standing across a large area. Flat to slightly choppy surface without significant waves. Moderate tidal currents. Southwesterly thermal winds at 10-18 knots in summer. Ideal conditions for beginners and learning kitesurfing.
