Lexington is a kitesurf spot located on the western shore of Lake Huron, in Michigan's Thumb region. This small coastal village offers a long sandy beach facing east, ideal for catching east and northeast winds that generate nice waves on Lake Huron. The marina and historic lighthouse mark the landscape of this picturesque spot. The riding area is vast with few obstacles offshore.

Lake Huron water body with variable conditions depending on wind direction. East to northeast winds create waves reaching 1 to 2 meters, offering excellent surf conditions. West and southwest winds produce flatter water near shore. Water is cold: full wetsuit required except in midsummer (July-August). Longshore currents possible in strong winds.
Longshore drift currents in strong winds. Cold Lake Huron water increases hypothermia risk, especially in spring and fall. Submerged rocks possible near shore in some areas. Recreational boat traffic near the harbor. Violent summer thunderstorms possible with lightning risk — exit water immediately. Commercial shipping traffic offshore.
