County Park is a kitesurfing spot located at Sherman Island County Park in California's Sacramento River Delta. This popular spot has facilities (parking, lawn for rigging) and easy water access. Powerful southwest thermal winds blow from May through October, providing reliable conditions on flat water. It is an excellent starting point for exploring the various spots on Sherman Island.

Delta-style water body with flat to slightly choppy conditions. Brackish and murky water, warm in summer (18-22°C/64-72°F). Muddy and gradually deepening bottom, ideal for standing. Tidal currents are present but moderate in this area. The riding area is spacious and offers plenty of room for all levels.
Thermal winds can be very strong (25-35 knots) with gusts. Tidal currents in the main channel. Submerged structures and pilings in some areas. Earthen levees can create turbulence. Motorboat traffic, especially on weekends. Power lines in the vicinity — stay vigilant.
