Terrapin Park is a kitesurfing spot at the eastern tip of Kent Island, just past the Bay Bridge connecting Annapolis to Maryland's Eastern Shore. It's one of the most popular spots on the Chesapeake Bay, easily accessible from Baltimore and Washington D.C. The park offers direct bay access with excellent fetch in multiple directions. The position east of the Bay Bridge offers spectacular views of the bridge. Very popular spot with the Maryland and D.C. kite community.

Chesapeake Bay with excellent fetch in multiple directions. Flat water to moderate chop depending on wind. Brackish water with limited visibility. Shallow near shore with sandy bottom. Moderate tidal range. Ideal flat water conditions for freestyle. Pleasant water June to September, wetsuit needed rest of year.
Proximity to the Bay Bridge — do not approach the structure. Heavy boat traffic in the bay. Tidal currents. Jellyfish (sea nettles) very abundant July to September. Strong currents near the bridge. Thunderstorms possible in summer. Limited parking on popular windy days.
